    Defensiveness

It's kind of sad seeing all these posts of people asking for help, and in the replies, many who give answers are very defensive of their own care methods. Why has the community come to this that we feel like we should have to guard ourselves lest someone comes and points out one mistake. If anything, we should be asking for others to help us point our flaws in caring for our reptiles, it would make it easier to assure you are giving them the best care. (This is rhetorical, we all know why its come to this.)

There's unfortunately a lot of misinformation with exotics especially and there's also a lot we just aren't 100% sure about. When you consider how uninformed a good portion of new pet owners are from the get go and the fact that a lot of venders, breeders, and pet stores don't tell you everything you need top know just to make the sale its any wonder how many animals unnecessarily have issues like MBD, stuck sheds, and impaction. There's plenty to read online but a lot of conflicting opinions on what is best.
