I'm brand new to owning a snake and my little boy, a 1 ½ year old Kenyan sand boa, has shed he refuses to get off of the tip of his tail. He shed awhile ago according to the previous owner (possibly two months?) and she told me not to be worried about it- however I've been gaining information and have discovered that it can cause him to lose the tip of this tail.
Now, this seems like an easy fix- follow the video GoHerping made- but they're from the desert and aren't really supposed to have that much water. Everyone who owns one advises against it, but they never say what to do instead.
I'd love to give you guys pictures but I've only had him for a few days so I'm trying to leave him alone the most I can so he'll get used to his new environment. Thank you in advance!
TLDR; baby Kenyan sand boa, (possibly) not supposed to soak in water, shed stuck to tip of tail.
