lots of activity or low for a leo?

I've had a leo for a long time now. She's always very fearful despite frequent handling (she chills out once being held) (even the blinds closing still scares her and she hears that every day i love her).

Currently she's living in an enclosure in my room with very low outside activity aside from handling. I've been considering moving her downstairs where she'd be exposed to a lot more activity. I also have cats which know she's there but don't care and of course can't get to her. I worry they might show interest again if I move her (though they still of course won't be able to touch her gosh no).

Should I move her? Or just leave her where she is?

I don't have enough information to really answer your question as I don't know how long you've cared for her, so I'll try to answer as you the best I can.

    1. You've had your Leo under a year. This is normal behavior for a leo adjusting, you shouldn't worry,

    2. You've had her for over a year and she is still pretty fearful. That is okay as not all Leo's are the same, some are much more shy and observant than others.

In either scenario I would say keeping her in your room would be best for now. It seems like the cats would scare her and exposing her to that probably wouldn't be best for her own well-being. Document her behavior over the next few months and if no positive changes occur then you could take her to a vet that specializes in Leo's and find out what is causing her stress.

Like I said your Leo may just be shy and observant, some are just that way. Enjoy your Leo and best wishes.
