Alright... this might take some explaining. So, I recently went bioactive in my leopard gecko's tank (yay, right?). Welp, turns out he refuses to eat on his new substrate. I've tried bowls, hand feeding, tweezer feeding, different types of bugs, letting him hunt for himself -- and the list goes on. He'd lick supplements off my finger, and he wasn't losing any weight, but we weren't making an ounce of progress. I checked temps and humidy... not a single thing wrong. After he skipped four meals, I decided to move him back in his old twenty gallon with reptile carpet, where he started eating again like nothing had happened.
So now I'm stuck. I'm trying to train him to eat from my hand/tweezers so I can move him back, but the process is slow, cuz he's a stubborn little dude! I was just wondering if anyone had any advice, or similar experiences. Many thanks!
